MONUMENTS REPRESENT OUR REMARKABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
MONUMENTS REPRESENT OUR REMARKABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The J.R.-Turner Foundation is a Cultural Health Provider (C.H.P.) and Non-Governmental Organisation (N.G.O.) inspired by Africans to build prominent Monuments, Sculptures and Statues dedicated to the restoration and preservation of African history through inspirational images of Great African men and women from around the globe, to educate the masses with positive visual impressions.
EDUCATE
We will educate and enlighten humanity on the great achievements made by people of African descent through Monuments, because Monuments are the complete pragmatic representation of societal culture, linking past, present and future. Monuments represent our remarkable accomplishments, leaving evidence of our intellectual presence on the planet. The J.R.- Turner Foundation’s driving force behind building Monuments is to fill the need to restore, empower and educate people globally, through creative arts, cultural awareness and positive imagery. Monuments will primarily serve as an educational facility as well as a tourist attraction catering to a global audience.

COMMEMORATE
Ultimately, the goals of the J.R.-Turner Foundation are premised on the need to create positive images of Africans through the erection of Monuments, allowing society to reflect on Africa from a practical perspective. This will be achieved through artistic depictions of inspirational African pioneers who have contributed greatly to human achievements in all sectors of life, through sportsmen, abolitionists, filmmakers, liberators, artists, inventors, freedom-fighters, poets, educators, doctors, scientists, trailblazers, even great queens and kings. In so doing we seek to create a monument of inspiration to young people the world over without being exclusive to people of African descent to unify and celebrate humanity for the greater good of mankind especially in these times of polarisation and exclusivity.
CULTURAL FACELIFT
Progressive exposure to African achievements will create a mass cultural facelift, that will enable Africans and even people from other cultures to understand the human side of the African experience. In the drive for globalisation, integration has not been so easy for Africans, having languished in a history filled with slavery and colonialism. This misfortune has created a desperate desire to abandon Africa and her rich culture. This has caused mass-migration and a breakdown of societies, communities, nations and ultimately families. African pride can only be established through the exposure of positive images, cultural exchange and practical interaction.
PROMOTING AFRICAN ARTISTS
The J.R.-Turner Foundation is also engaged in the mandate of promoting and showcasing grandiose works of art created by both local and international artists throughout the African world. This use of artwork is premised on creating mental impressions of various facets of African life, a reminder of forgotten stories to promote social appreciation. Much of African art has been erased, lost or misplaced, which has resulted in the degeneration of African culture. Telling stories through African artwork, we will ingeminate society with a more positive spin on history which unites and co-opts people from various cultures. Such artworks will be designed to depict imagery that not only provide closure and healing of the soul, but also to revive a glorious African history.
Why
JR. Foundation?
More Experience
The problem is that too many people around the world are uninformed, uneducated and unfamiliar about the positive rolls that African people have made globally. African poets, inventors, scientist, liberators, kings and queens. This misinformation and lack of education on Black History has led to negative stereotypes of African people on the continent and around the world. Leading to isolation, segregation and eventually the delusion of African people and their history.
The solution and purpose of the Jr. Foundation is to provide positive exposure to inform people across the globe and the youth in particular about the positive contributions that Africans have made to humanity through the erection of monuments.
